Aryna Sabalenka
Sabalenka is a Belarussian born in Minsk. She was the daughter of Sergey (d. in 2019) was an Ice hockey player. Aryna Sabalenka is a Belarusian born on 5th May 1998. In her career she has won twelve WTA singles titles including the Grand Slam at the 2023 Australian Open. Doubles is an additional area in which she shines. The US Open 2019, and Australian Open 2021 were both played by Elise Mertens. Alongside the Belgian tennis player, she also won the WTA 1000 in Indian Wells and Miami in the year 2019, making her the Sunshine Double. The women's doubles had only four couples achieve this feat. In the month of January, 2023, she achieved her highest rank in singles. The 23rd day of August 2021, she climbed to the second spot in the World rankings. As a doubles player, she was able to propel her way to the top in February of the same year, following the win in Melbourne making her the second tennis player from Belarus to be a part of this specialty. Dmitry Tursunov, a former Russian tennis player, was her coach her during the 2018 season until the close of her 2020 campaign. Dieter Kindlmann worked with her for short periods from August 2020 to September. Antonio Dubrov is her coach who has been with her since at the beginning of 2020. Her idols include Serena Williams and Maria Sharapova.
